Gathering Resources and Growing Capacity: Museums Working Together in Hawaiʻi

We are pleased to share that Bishop Museum has been awarded an IMLS Native American/Native Hawaiian (NANH) grant to support a mentoring and training program to build organizational capacity in museums and museum-like organizations in Hawaiʻi. Bishop Museum will collaborate with Nonprofit GrowthGen, LLC to offer three online professional development programs over the next two years for those who work or wish to work in organizations like museums, library archives, arboretums, historic sites, zoos, aquariums, and other cultural nonprofits.. The grant prioritizes Native Hawaiians and those working in Native Hawaiian-serving organizations, providing 8 free seats per program plus a stipend for each participant.
