POW! WOW! The First Decade: From Hawaiʻi to the World showcases some of the most notable Hawai‘i-based artists, international street artists, and sculptors. This exhibit will feature over 160 artists, with 30 artists creating new murals and installations curated by POW! WOW! Founder Jasper Wong within the gallery and throughout Bishop Museum’s campus.

Experience large-scale murals from internationally renowned artists like Cryptik, Hueman, Tristan Eaton, Andrew Schoultz, Persue, Kevin Lyons, Amy Sol, How Nosm, Greg Mike, and many others. View works by local muralists including OG Slick, Solomon Enos, Carl Pao, Cory Taum, Woes, Hula, and Wooden Wave. Large-scale original paintings will also be on view, from Defer, Shepard Fairey, Brendan Monroe, Jon Burgerman, Edwin Ushiro, Tatiana Suarez, Simone Legno of Tokidoki, and more.
Within the gallery space will be a series of over 120 new 2’x2’ paintings by international and local artists, curated by Andrew Hosner of Thinkspace and Jasper Wong.
Since its inception in 2010, POW! WOW! has grown into a global network of artists and organized gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects, concerts, and live art installations internationally. POW! WOW! has become an integral part of Hawaiʻi’s art and urban history.
In partnership with this exhibit, Bishop Museum’s vast collections, galleries, and outdoor spaces provide an immersive contemporary art experience that bridges traditional culture, contemporary creative expression, and indigenous perspectives. POW! WOW! and its creators showcase their art – in both indoor gallery spaces and outdoors on the Museum’s 15-acre campus, offering visitors a full spectrum of cultural expression, from ancient practitioners to the makers and visionaries of today.
Hawaiian Airlines + POW! WOW! + Bishop Museum Collection
Every month through the run of the exhibition, Hawaiian Airlines + POW! WOW! will debut 5 exclusive merchandise collections to feature the founder and directors of POW! WOW! Hawai‘i (Jasper Wong, Kamea Hadar and Jeff Gress) and keiki art from the Pālama Settlement program.
Proceeds from the collections will benefit education in the arts for the next generation through Bishop Museum initiatives.
