Book Collection

BOOKS: The book collection consists of approximately 50,000 volumes. The collection emphasis is on the cultural and natural history of Hawai'i and the Pacific, with subject strengths in anthropology, music, botany, entomology, and zoology.

The Library provides extra access to our collection of published diaries, narratives, memoirs, etc. relating to 18th and 19th century Hawai'i. Indexes from the primary sources are kept in chronologically arranged binders.
