Bishop Museum's Library and Archives
Bishop Museum’s Library and Archives have one of the richest and most varied collections of published works and primary source materials concerned with Hawai‘i and the Pacific. Our Library holdings include books, periodicals, newspapers and special collections of published material. The museum’s Archives holds the results of extensive studies done by Museum staff in various disciplines throughout the Pacific, as well diverse and important collections of manuscripts, photographs, artwork, oral histories, commercial sound recordings and maps.

Effective May 1, 2013, Bishop Museum Library and Archives has temporarily suspended its public reference services so that staff can support a Museum and community effort to plan for long-term care and increased access to our collections.
We will again be taking access requests beginning June 1, 2013.
