The StarLab portable planetarium has the following set-up requirements:

- Room ceiling height of at least 10.5 feet clear of fans, sprinklers, etc.
- Floor area minimum of 25' x 25'.
- Air-conditioned room.
- May not be set up outdoors

Up in the Sky Grades K-3

Grades K - 3

Take a "tour" of the sky and see special things in it, such as the sun, moon, planets and falling stars. Learn all about the sun in the sky during the day, the stars at night, and how the moon appears in different places in day and night. Hear a story or two about the sky!

Stories Under the Stars

Grades K - 3

If you go outside on a clear night, you'll probably find yourself gazing up at the stars in the dark sky. The stars are older than you and me, and people all over the world have been fascinated by them. In this program, explore the sky and see the patterns and shapes made by stars that we call constellations. Hear the stories that people have told about the stars in different parts of the world.

Star Hunt

Grades 3 - 12

Take a tour of the current nighttime sky and use star maps to locate constellations. Hear stories that have been told about the stars, and find out about unique planetary "events" in the sky.

Find the planets in our current night sky and learn how planets are different from stars. Explore the planets as they've been studied from telescopes for the past four centuries. Get a close-up view of our fellow planets as seen by NASA robot missions.
